During ICE London 2022 the TVBet’s Regional Sales Manager for African Region Emily Asava touches a very important topic about the position of women in the iGaming industry.
Mickaella: We’re back here with Mrs. Emily. I would just like to ask her more questions to elaborate, especially on what she said about women in gaming in Africa. That was a really good point. So, I’ll just let her elaborate and share her ideas about Africa in gaming.
Emily Asava: What I would like to say about women in gaming, Africa is that you will find, we don’t have many of us into positions. So, if you go to a company, you will find many women are in customer service, brand managing, and there’s no one in sales and for me, I believe sales is the most important part of our company and women, we can do it. So, women are shying away from sales. They’re afraid because for you to be in sales, you need to be a go getter. You need to be aggressive. You need to go an extra effort. So, what my point was, we need to have some gaming body in board, some gaming professionals in place like me, who are offering mentorship to young women to young ladies to join the industry and we can move the mountain together.
Mickaella: That’s amazing. That’s a great idea. I think there’s so much potential in Africa, especially with African women, there’s a lot that we can do. So, I’m really happy that you shared that, and I would like to know a bit more as well about the company with TVBET, is there any new products coming out any new launches?
Emily Asava: We have new promotional tools coming out for operators to help them push the product in the African markets. We have diverse branding options and yes, of course, we have one project coming out very excited about it.
Mickaella: That’s amazing.
Emily Asava: You’ll have to wait for some time to hear about it. We are working with one of our operators. We are coming out with something specific for them, something suitable for them and what I’m telling other operators out there come to us, we can custom make what you’re looking for. You’re looking for custom made games or something you’re looking for custom made studio, or even some unique plants that you have that you think will bring you some revenue. We are the place to be.
Mickaella: Wow. Thank you so much. So, can you tell me a bit more about your target market and what are your plans for that as well?
Emily Asava: Our target market we are a team that we do not keep our attention on point A or point B. We are wider and you’re looking to have more footprint in Africa which is good, which I see growth every day. We have good footing in Latam. We have good footing in Europe. We have good footing in Asia and good thing is we keep on receiving operators from different areas. So, they come to us. They ask us we want to have our games and if you do not have a license for that area, then we begin working towards that. So, we do not keep our attention on one area. We are all rounded. We are receiving everyone. We are doing business with everyone that comes, provided we are certified in that area, provided we have licensing in that area and if we see a potential in an operator that we are not certified or we are not licensed in that area and then we pick that as a project.
Mickaella: Wow, that’s interesting. Thank you so much for sharing that. That was so great. So, thank you for having us again once more and wishing you all the best with the show.
