Entain has taken a major step to enlarge its horizon in Africa by establishing Entain’s sports betting brand, Bwin, in Zambia. The company revealed the launch during a press event at Radisson Blu Hotel in Lusaka. It promised to use this opportunity to bring the sports and tourism industry in the country to a brighter light and encourage responsible gambling.
Generally, Entain intends to influence society favorably, keeping the negative effects of gambling at a low level. For this cause, Bwin will introduce an approved harm prevention and a self-removal app called BetBlocker. The BetBlocker app will be free and able to remove a customer from all games.
Entain intentions to widen its African reach to its shareholders focused on Kenya and Zambia. Zambia was picked to receive the company launch as the country grants permission to sports betting, lotteries, and casino gambling and has different regulations.
The chief marketing officer for Bwin Africa, Spencer Okach, said his members are pleased to launch into Zambia. Okach mentioned that he is optimistic about the satisfaction of African players with their services and offers. He said players in Zambia would certainly love the advantages which come with the brand’s experience and its special betting collection.
