Existing equivocal policies on online gambling would likely end in South Africa as the opposition Democratic Alliance party supposedly introduced legislation about it.
“Right now, with no proper regulation of gambling activity in South Africa, the people are not safe.” – This was an introduction of legislation into the nation’s 400-seat parliament by the party consisting of some of the 2008 amendment rules.
Opposing the government president, Cyril Ramaphosa, the party boldly suggests that officials in the country’s provinces ensure the certification of iGaming operators and provide methods to tackle any objection.
With a requirement that operators are licensed at the provincial level, online casinos and sports betting entertainment are legal.
The centrist party allegedly hopes to fully regulate iGaming at the federal level after the country’s inefficient attempt to do that failed 14 years ago.

How this proposed legislation will work has not been announced. However, the Democratic Alliance revealed that it intends to introduce controlled advertising of iGaming across the nation.
The party’s measures will reportedly ensure the safety of exposed persons and assure operators and sites align with the country’s anti-money laundering financial intelligence center act.
Involving everyone, the party disclosed that stakeholders from the iGaming sector might forward opinions on this proposal to the speaker of the National assembly, Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula.
“The Democratic Alliance requested the people to submit their suggestions on the proposal within 30 days of publishing Government gazette. A conclusion will emerge after hearing the public’s opinions.”
