In this interview with Inside Gaming Africa’s Mickaella at the ICE London 2022, the Head of Business Development, Robert Toth gives insights about GlobalBet’s product and shares thoughts about the future of iGaming industry in Africa.

Mickaella: Hi, everyone from Inside Gaming Africa. Today we have Mr. Robert from GlobalBet. So, we’re gonna ask him a few questions and there was a further ado, let’s ask him about the company. So, hi, Mr. Robert.
Robert Toth: Hello, thank you for being here.
Mickaella: Thank you for having us. So, can you tell us about how you’re finding the show so far?
Robert Toth: It’s an amazing show. We see a lot of companies that are coming to us, and they would like to have our products. We also have a lot of customers that came to us, we are already working with, and we are very happy to be here. It’s, it’s the 12th year we’ve been at ISE. So, we have a tradition, when it comes to events that Clarion is organizing and it’s one of the main events in the industry, where every company should definitely be.
Mickaella: Amazing. As you can see, the stand is just spectacular. You can see the images at the back. The virtual image is amazing. Can you tell us a bit more about it?
Robert Toth: Yeah, we’re presenting the Pro Series football game. It’s one of our flagship products. We invested a lot of time and effort to create a game that is almost as real as real football and a lot of customers that come to the stand and potential customers, they notice that the game quality has improved significantly, and some even think that it’s a real game.
Mickaella: It’s amazing. I have to say I thought it was a real game. So, that looks amazing. So, we’re going to ask you about a bit more about your presence in Africa. Can you tell us a bit more about that?
Robert Toth: Yes, we’re present in 10 countries in Africa right now, mostly in West Africa. But also, in East Africa. Our biggest markets are Kenya and Nigeria and we’re looking at a very interesting market which definitely brought us closer to our African customers.
Mickaella: It’s amazing. I have to say, so many countries, which is great. Have you got any plans on expanding even more in Africa?
Robert Toth: Yes, there are some countries where we’re not present in Africa. We’re focusing on these as well. But we also want to improve the presence of the company in the countries where we already operating.
Mickaella: That’s amazing. Can you tell us about how you see the future of gaming in Africa?
Robert Toth: The main tendency now is to go online. A lot of operators, they have land base shops. They have very strong land base presence, and you see that operators tend to open online operations to offer the products to their customers, anywhere. They can just place bets on their phones, they can play on any device, and this is definitely the tendency we’re moving towards online in Africa, something that in Europe exists for over 10 years. Europe is very online focused. In Africa, we see this tendency happening right now.
Mickaella: That’s amazing. Yeah, as you can tell, technology is advancing, especially in Africa as well and especially for the millennials, like the younger generation. Do you have anything to say, or anything targeted towards them?
Robert Toth: Yes, definitely. Generation wise people from 18 to 35 years old, they love our games, because this is how they grew up. They grew up with Xboxes with PlayStation. For them, this is more entertaining than the real thing. I think this is the main reasons why millennials are so used to our products and played them so often.
