La Marocaine des Jeux et des Sports (MDJS), the Moroccan state lottery operator, has requested a proposal to appoint a new operator for its omnichannel lottery, sports betting, and instant games operations. MDJS is providing an eight-year contract with the option of a two-year extension, starting January 1, 2023, for the general management and operation of its lottery, sports betting, and other activities.
The MDJS, founded in 1962, has a monopoly on all sports betting in Morocco, except horse and greyhound racing.
Following the above, With the exception of horse and greyhound racing, the first tender covers fixed-odds pool betting and betting on virtual competition. The second tender covers lotteries, instant lotteries of a sporting nature, and raffles.
Bids must be filed by 4 April 2022, when the MDJS’ headquarters in Casablanca will host the proposal opening proceedings. Prospective operators can send their offers to the head office via registered mail with acknowledgment of receipt or any express courier service. They can also send them to the tender committee chairman during the opening session but before the opening of offers.
